				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The church dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene was built in the late 19th century and it replaced a much older church which is in the grounds of the Stretton Court Hotel.<span id="more-2152"></span><br />
Above the South door, is the beautiful 12th century Samson Tympanum, which shows Samson straddling a lion whilst using his hands to force open its jaws. This glorious sculpture was removed from the old church.</p>

Font</h2>
<p>The font at St. Mary Magdalene is 12th century and is carved in two sections, with the bowl being lead lined.</p>

Memorials</h2>
<p>Brought from the old church, The 15th century incised memorial stone of Richard Greenway and his wife is built into the South Wall by the Norman font &#8211; in the old church it was laid over their grave.</p>
