St Peter’s Church in Pipe-cum-Lyde has been extensively and sympathetically restored during the 19th century, and now is one of the churches receiving Heritage Lottery Fund money for essential repairs. Some of this money will go towards the repair of the roof.

The old font has been replaced in part, funded in the late 19th century by the parish women; the original base and stem remain.

A lovely carved Reredos was provided by the Masons of Herefordshire in 1868, in honour of Edward George, a Herefordshire Merchant and member of the Masons, who is buried at St. Peters Church
