Fowl theft

1832 – Falling Tree Kills man at Castle Frome

Samuel Brookes was working in a wood at Castle Frome, when a falling tree killed him.

1838 – Theft of a Chicken

John Rowberry was convicted of stealing a hen fowl from Francis Bennett of Castle Frome, and sent to the County Gaol.

1906 – Farmer Drowns at Castle Frome

A farmer named Charles T. Ockey who had been suffering from bad health was found drowned in a four foot deep pool.

A simple but beautiful church set in glorious Herefordshire Countryside.

Font

This Norman font in the church of St. Michael & All Angels is quite simply stunning. It is wonderfully carved, and has been said to be one of the finest 12^th century fonts in the country.

The son of William Unett married Sara Nicholetts and died 5th June 1656.
